Using tried, tested and proven Monotube design with up to 18 shims on each side of the piston in a multi stage shim stack. This allows infinite low, medium and high speed tuning and the ability to individually tune both the compression and rebound valving. The shims are the highest quality valve shims available made with Sandvik 20c material for the best possible consistency.

The massive 57mm high flow piston is made from billet 4140 steel which is coupled with a Bronze impregnated PTFE wear band. Not having to force the oil through small orifices means less heat generation.  Shockwerx unique anti cavitation system means lower nitrogen pressures are required thus enabling a much plusher ride even as the shock shaft is fully compressed. A 6061 aluminium dividing piston with wear band and O ring ensures reduced friction and a better ability to stay pressed hard up against the oil to prevent air bubbles and oil foaming which then leads to the dreaded shock fade. All seals and O rings are suited to high temperatures and harsh environments but have been designed to reduce the risk of leakage if the vehicle does not get driven frequently.

All shockwerx components are made of the highest quality materials for maximum strength and reliability. The bodies are made from 63.5mm OD x 3.2mm wall 350 grade DOM Tube

then honed to tolerance. All body ends, eyes, studs are CNC machined from 4140 High strength steel. All shocks are fully TIG welded by hand then inspected to ensure maximum level of quality control. The bodies are Zinc plated with a bright silver finish, which withstands the harsh conditions they are subjected to far better than any other finish used by other manufactures. On vehicles fitted with a front strut the spring seat height is adjustable to allow ride height adjustment. All shafts are 18mm in Diameter and are Hard chromed to resist damage and corrosion. Seal housing and wiper housing all CNC machined 6061 aluminium.

Shockwerx Shock absorbers are designed to be a direct bolt in fit so with this in mind we use Original Equipment style bushes and mountings. For most vehicles standard and aftermarket springs are suitable for use with our range of front struts. To ensure adequate bump travel is maintained on some vehicles, a “piggyback” reservoir is attached to the main body to enable a longer stroke shock absorber but with a short compressed length. These units still bolt in directly and do not require the reservoir to be mounted separately.

Warranty

Shockwerx products come with a 2 year 60,000km warranty which covers any faulty workmanship or defects with the manufactured product.

Shock absorbers must be fitted in accordance with instructions that are issued with the purchase of your Shockwerx products to ensure that warranty is not void.
